Poetry Night
One of the most noble forms of literature is poetry. Over the centuries Perisan and non-Persian poets have written their poems in the Persian language, Farsi, and it's variations.
Even though the Farsi language has changed over time the ancient poems are still readable. Iranians highly value their poets who kept their culture and language alive even during numerous invasions. Persian songs goes back to 3000 BC to the time of king Jamshid. you can search the web or look into our links for more information on each poet and poetry in Iran.
There is cultural poetry night event, every last Friday of month, all poets and literates who are interested are welcome to join and bring their books and poems to read for other members.
Games & Entertainment
Among the new activities that Kanoon holds is Backgammon Tournoament (Takhteh Nard) an oldest game in the world which is still very popular between all ages.
Takhteh Nard or battle of wood was originated on 800 in Persia. We have at least onec a month Backgammon Tournoament..
